VIDEO: ARS Surprises Local Woman With a New HVAC and Installation at the ESPN High School Basketball ShowcaseVI

January 10, 2017

ARS/Conway Services sponsored the ESPN High School Basketball Showcase at Southwind High School, and the event was featured on ESPN2. ARS/Conway Services gifted Melony Walker, a native Memphian and pillar in her community, a HVAC unit with a free installation.

“It is truly a blessing. I needed a new heating and air conditioning, and ARS/Conway Services blesses me at the perfect time,” says Melony Walker. Her HVAC unit had been in disrepair for years, and that is why Hoopfest creator Anfernee “Penny” Hardaway nominated Melony for a giveaway to his sponsor. “Melony’s brother had passed away only weeks before, and she’s been so generous to my team and our community. I am so thankful that ARS is willing to help me help good people like her.”

Melony was presented with the donation prior to tipoff, and she received a standing ovation from the stands. “At ARS/Rescue Rooter and Conway Services, we know the value of giving back to your community, and it seems like Miss Walker is a great example of someone who is a pillar in her community,” says Chris Mellon, SVP and CMO at ARS/Rescue Rooter. “We could not be happier to do it for her. I hope she enjoys it, and I also look forward to watching some great basketball at the ARS/Rescue Rooter Hoopfests this year."
