Night to Shine Participant Visits ARS

The ARS/Rescue Rooter Annual Managers Meeting last month in Las Vegas was truly a remarkable few days. The managers received positive updates and great information, and all can agree that ARS is a growing organization with tremendous opportunities. So after three days of business, everyone was excited to celebrate the company and its employees at the Awards Reception & Banquet. However, it was a guest of ARS, not an employee, who stole the spotlight that evening.
Meet Katie Kremer: a participant in the Tim Tebow Foundation’s “Night to Shine,” an unforgettable prom night experience for people with special needs. Katie participated in the Las Vegas Night to Shine on February 12, 2016, which was one of nearly 200 “Night to Shine” events hosted across the country.
The Tim Tebow Foundation arranged for Katie to speak at ARS Awards Reception. “Getting dressed up and pretty makes me feel special, and I love signing autographs,” gushed Katie. Katie fearlessly and eloquently addressed over 200 strangers at our banquet. Katie’s speech brought tears to many eyes, and she received a heartfelt standing ovation.
When ARS learned that Katie was coming to Memphis for a personal trip, they decided to arrange a meet-and-greet with the corporate office employees who didn’t attend the annual meeting. Katie received a warm welcome along with Gibson’s Donuts and orange juice. Employees got the opportunity to sit and chat with Katie one-on-one about her favorite things. The Communications Team held a formal meeting with Katie about Night to Shine, her first meeting of many as she’s looking for an office job in Las Vegas. The team then treated Katie to lunch and dessert to end the exciting day on a great note.
ARS is honored to be participating in “Night to Shine” again on February 10, 2017. There are over 340 host churches in all 50 states, so the corporate offices and service centers will all contribute.
