Last May, when ARS/Rescue Rooter called on its branches to donate dresses for a dress drive, Frank Lamitina and his wife Marina knew that they could do something extraordinary due to their former circumstances.
CONTINUE READINGAt the corporate offices in Memphis, TN, ARS employees got involved by hosting a food drive for the Mid-South Food Bank and volunteering at the National Civil Rights Museum on MLK Day. 15 ARS volunteers gave time out of their day to collect cans at the celebration as the visitors arrived. Each volunteer hour equals 66 meals for the Mid-South Food Bank. So, in total, ARS employees contributed about 990 meals to the hungry.

The collection was for Soles4Souls, a not-for-profit global social enterprise committed to fighting poverty through the collection and distribution of shoes and clothing.

With over 13,000 entries from all 50 states and numerous countries, this is truly an honor.
