The Importance of a Functioning Furnace in Wilmington
Being situated along the coast, Wilmington doesn’t experience the same type of harsh, frigid winters that other parts of the country do. That doesn’t mean, however, that you can get away with not having a furnace that works as well as it should.
The city’s coldest recorded temperature was 0 degrees Fahrenheit, and it could happen again. When it does, you don’t want to be stuck with a heating system that hasn’t been properly maintained or upgraded. If you don’t take care of your equipment, it could break down at the worst possible time.
The colder it gets outside, the harder your furnace has to work to keep your house warm. This means a lot of additional wear and tear on its components, causing them to give out much sooner than they should. Critical elements of your system, such as the blower motor and the heat exchanger, need to be serviced by experienced professionals to ensure they will last for as long as they can.
Older furnaces also tend to be less energy-efficient, leading to higher utility bills for you. The older your system is, the lower its Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency (AFUE) rating may be. This means it has a harder time converting fuel into heat.
On top of that, older furnaces may be more likely to break down or malfunction. This not only means a major inconvenience for you, but also the prospect of costly repairs or replacement.
You can save yourself these troubles and more by calling our experts to provide you with a new, modern furnace. These are designed to be more efficient and reliable than old models, with higher AFUE ratings that help you save money on your heating bills. They also feature advanced technology that enables them to adapt to different weather conditions.
ARS of Wilmington serves the entire area, including nearby Havelock, Jacksonville, Lumberton, Myrtle Beach, Piney Green, and more.
