Mixed feelings, lots of positive interactions but some room for improvement also. Had a ductless mini split 18k unit installed. Process was a bit rough and will share both the good and the bad. Original quoting experience was great. Sales person seemed knowledgeable, they came out same day and then had the first installation appointment scheduled for the next day. I felt like the sales person really did their best to get me the best price which probably led to me overpaying; ARS was definitely more expensive than I expected but they offered a “same day” discount and on top of the other discounts I thought I was getting a good price until I did more research later. However I don’t mind paying more for good customer service, and their guarantees certainly sound unique and good if they hold to them… Then the problems started, the installation group clearly had no idea about the scope from the sales person. They were surprised at the amount of effort and the disconnect between what the sales person told me and what would be required, however they still finished as much work as possible and did what they could but didn’t have the parts to finish. Then I heard nothing about a follow up appointment to finish the installation. Took three separate calls to get something scheduled as first two calls didn’t result in anything being scheduled. Two appointments and nearly two weeks later the job was finished (thank goodness this wasn’t a main ac unit). As a note even though I did have to call multiple times the people I talked to also seemed polite, focused on customer service, and seemed to indicate they really wanted to do their best—it just seemed my job got lost in the system/bureaucracy. The person who finally came out (who I think was from the service and not installation group) was helpful in finishing but didn’t have the permitting paperwork on hand. As a note when appointments were scheduled I had no problem with people showing up on time. I’m a little worried about the permitting considering they didn’t complete they paperwork yet and the scheduling challenges on the installation, but hopefully this process will go more smoothly.
