Sewer Line Repair in Pacific , WA

Sewer and water line services in Seattle, WA

Sewing line problems can be among the most stressful of homeowner woes, and the number of causes, potential repairs, and effects on your home’s plumbing can be overwhelming. The professional plumbers of ARS/Rescue Rooter Seattle can alleviate those concerns and “root” out the cause of your sewer line and water main problems.

Common signs of a sewer line blockage or clog are multiple drains appearing clogged, strange sounds coming from your drains, and running water in one fixture causing water to bubble up from the drains of other plumbing fixtures.

What causes sewer line blockage?

There are many potential causes of sewer line blockage. The most common would be tree roots penetrating your sewer line pipes in the pursuit of moisture. This is so common that it produced the common plumbing term “rooter.”

Other potential causes include:

  • Damage from other outside forces like fallen limbs or even occasionally landscaping
  • Your sewers pipes sagging across a cavity in the ground under the pipe
  • Flushed debris or non-flushable items (like toys) building up or clogging the line
  • Eventual erosion of old pipes, allowing dirt or other debris into the pipe

Minerals naturally found in tap water can also cause erosion or blockage in water mains.

Sewer line video inspections

Fiber optic video cameras can be used by your plumber to inspect your sewer line and find the cause of a sewer line clog. Your plumber will snake the video camera through your pipes so you can see in real time what would cause your drains to back up.

How do you fix a clogged sewer line?

The cause of the obstruction, the age and condition of your pipes, and what is determined to be the best long-term solution in your particular case are all factors when determining how to tackle clogged sewer lines. It can be as simple as removing an obstruction in the case of a flushed toy, or replacing a particular section of eroded pipes.

While replacing pipes is typically associated with digging up old pipes and laying new ones, one increasingly popular option is trenchless pipe repair. New pipe take the place as old pipe is pulled out, or sometimes new pipe is snaked through old eroded pipe.

Locating the problem is the first step to fixing it. No matter what is causing your sewer line backup, we can find it and we can fix it. Call Rescue Rooter Seattle to schedule today!

Excellent service! Benjamin came in soon after we called Rescue Rooter on Saturday and unclogged our kitchen sink. We have a seriously long pipe there and it is not an easy thing to do. Not only was the job itself done very quick and professional, but the attention to all details and the level of care was so impressive - scene was cleaned up like nothing has ever happened, and even our carpet was put back (I took it out of the way to let the machine in). I've never seen anything like this in Seattle before! Highly recommended!
The work that Jason R did was fantastic. He arrived exactly when he said he would, was very professional, explained everything that needed to be done in detail and then cleaned up as if nothing had gone wrong. Nice job!
